Meeting: February 2018

On the evening of February 10, Phil and Jo Ann Staples were the exceedingly accommodating hosts for "An Elegant Evening with Emma," a five-course dinner with recipes from Regency period cookbooks that was a five-star occasion.

With culinary assistance from Dede Clements, Mildred Tilley, Elizabeth Heffington, Andrea Hearn, and Caroline Davis, the Stapleses set three elegant tables for service à la russe of 15 menu items -- literally, from (white) soup to (candied) nuts.

Phil provided excellent service as the wine steward, and Jo Ann won raves for a stunning dessert platter of gingerbread, apple tarts and hedgehog.
